Imported from Europe, The Ace wood chess set handcrafted and hand-finished out of hornbeam natural and stained wood. It features a slender, design that captures the look and feel of a traditional Staunton pattern chess set, allowing for immediate recognition and use. European heritage, the King and Queen pieces feature crowns that are made of the opposing wood type, providing a beautiful color contrast.

The chess board designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the hornbeam natural and stained chess pieces and has a lacquered finish. The rim of the chess board features the rank-and-file labels, can be folded in half for easy storage. Inside the chess board are two compartments that are designed for storing the chess pieces when not in use, providing protection.

All European Collection Chess Sets are made from renewable plantation wood, making them ecofriendly.
