This board features the classic, old world styling of elm root and it pairs intelligently with every popular chess piece wood. In particular, ebony wood, ebonized, rosewood and honey rosewood pieces shine on this board. Brass and metal pieces also look fantastic on elm root boards.

This elm root board features a gloss finish to both protect the exotic wood and mark a glistening sheen that accents any chess pieces.
